Hi! I’m Colie Cole.
I have been crafting since I was a child. I always thought it was entertaining how I was a young kid in the yarn aisle with all the older women. Yet, here I am now as an adult in that same aisle. Except.. I also dabble in the paint aisle, the resin aisle, where they hide the glitter and even the beads. Let’s be real, I’ll play in the whole store. I realize now that all of the crafting I did as a child has only set me up for the want to try everything at least once. Then I just stick to what I enjoy the most and keep doing it.
In 2019 I had my first and only daughter, in 2021 she was diagnosed autistic. I am a single mom, and now trying to navigate not only being a mom, but an autistic mom. From ABA to speech therapies, and anything in between that will help her thrive in life.
Crafting is my safe place, my solitude. I use it to escape from my day-to-day life because crafting with my hands really makes me feel good. Everything I make comes from my heart and every dollar I acquire goes to my daughter. I’ve been saving everything up so she has a little nest egg for when she gets older because I don’t know what her quality of life will be like. She only has me so I’m doing everything I can to make sure she’s good. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for supporting Crafts By Colie and helping me take care of my daughter’s future.
